Joel Gott is known as one of the most talented, yet unpretentious winemakers in California. A fourth generation winemeaker, Joel knew early on in life that this would be his calling. His Grandfather was winemaker and president of Inglenook in the 1960s and 1970s, and his father Cary also is involved in the trade. Joel’s wines have received accolades in every major wine publication and consumers can’t seem to get enough of his releases. The Show is his most recent venture, and he has partnered with Charles Bieler of Chateau Routas in Provence and Roger Scommes, advertising, entrepreneur and viticulturist extraordinaire. Joel stuck to his California roots with The Show Cabernet Sauvignon, which also has some Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot blended in for complexity, and headed to Argentina’s Lujan de Cuyo to source fruit for the Malbec. Both are loaded with up front primary fruit, and whether it’s your palate, your wine rack, or both, The Show must go on.
