In the Green Valley AVA of Sonoma County resides one of the most established sparkling wine houses, Iron Horse. And it's there where you'll find expressive sparkling wine offerings that are produced in the Champagne method. Iron Horse is amongst the top domestic sparkling wine producers and has been making sparkling wines for the past 30 years. One of the preferred bubblies at the White House for the past five consecutive presidential administrations, Iron Horse delivers imported Champagne taste for less. Much like the Champagne region, Iron Horse’s home in the cool, foggy Green Valley of Sonoma County, is ideal for sparkling wine production. Winemaker David Munksgard treats the wine as one would Champagne, giving it extended time in the bottle to develop toasty flavors and added complexity. With this year coming to an end, we recommend toasting to 2012 with one of America’s best bottles of bubbly.
