Beginning with 240-acres in the heart of Napa Valley's Oakville growing district, vintner Agustin Huneeus earned a reputation as one of Napa's great innovators with Cuvee Sauvage, Napa Valley's first wild yeast-fermented Chardonnay, and Magnificat, one of Napa Valley's first Bordeaux-style proprietary blends. Agustin Huneeus' passionate belief that great wines are an expression of great vineyards has been the driving force behind these classic Napa Valley wines. Today Janet Myers, former winemaker at Robert Mondavi, is in charge of operations, and continues to bottle wines that define the Franciscan signature style –rich, vibrant, supple and silky.
